graded proximal cuff occlusion
Graded acute changes in forearm PPV was found to accompany the decrease in limb flow caused by a graded proximal cuff occlusion. Compared to baseline, inflations at diastolic pressure resulted in an 11.4% increase in PPV (p<0.01). Supra-diastolic cuff inflations resulted in a linear decrease in PPV (r=0.99, p<0.01).
